FOR INFORMATION AND BOOKINGS: Please email rolfinginleeds@gmail.com
We would normally do a longer first appointment to make sure we cover all the information we need to regarding your history and aims for the series. I'm currently doing this by phone, upon completion of the intake form: google form
This usually takes between 20-40 minutes, depending how much we need to discuss. It also gives you a chance to ask any questions about how Rolfing works. Ideally we'd do that a few days or weeks before a first hands-on session.
FEES:
Sessions are 60 minutes, with a few minutes to let things settle if needed on either side.
Fees are £62 per session (£60 plus a £2 Covid surcharge). I usually do a longer session but it's inadvisable under current conditions.
Fees are payable 48 hours in advance, by bank transfer or by arrangement otherwise.
If payment is not received and I haven’t heard from you to arrange otherwise, then I will have to release the appointment to another client.
**Sliding scale available upon request**
- This is in line with the 48 hour notice period for cancellations I operate; the full fee is chargeable within that time.
If given more than 48 hours notice then there is no fee chargeable for the cancellation -

Jennifer-Lynn has worked as a teacher and performer throughout the UK and internationally for the past fifteen years, both through professional umbrella organisations that support independent dance practitioners (such as Independent Dance and Greenwich Dance Agency in London, ProDance Leeds, Scottish Dance Theatre and Groundwork Pro in Wales) and vocational training institutions such as London Contemporary Dance School and Northern School of Contemporary Dance (where she was on faculty from 2007-2016).
She has presented at academic conferences and her work has been published in Journal of Dance and Somatic Practices (2011). She has an ongoing interest in how phenomenology and movement might meet and support us to stay curious and enrich the complexity of experience.

Class Description:
Patterns for 3-Dimensional Bodies - Technique Class
Class is based on the belief that dancing is enjoyable and physical and intelligent in equal measures. Emphasis is on patterns as sensory and tactile, opening different angles into individual possibility and preferences. Patterns are a way to find useful information with our bodies, rather than do the right ‘steps’. Improvisation is always welcome.
Sometimes class starts from the ground, supporting organisation through developmental/evolutionary movement patterns. Sometimes class grows from relational play/the space we share.
End sequences are templates for individual experimentation.
